President of Atlas Group at the Summit in Sofia on development of Balkan economy

The Strategic Dialogue for the Western Balkans, organized by the World Economic Forum, brought together political leaders, representatives of international organizations and businessmen, who discussed three key topics for the region – economic growth, trade and investment, and importance of digital agenda in the context of technological development and strengthening of the generation of new leaders.

The gathering was attended by the President of the World Economic Forum Børge Brende, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, Prime Ministers of Albania and Serbia Edi Rama and Ana Brnabic, President of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Suma Chakrabarti…

This gathering, which brought together about 50 participants, is the first strategic dialogue held by the World Economic Forum with the Western Balkans.

The President of Atlas Group participant today in the “Sofia talks 2018: Politics meets Economy”,organized by the Vienna Economic Forum. The Forum was organized under the sponsorship of the Bulgarian Chairmanship of the EU Council 2018, as the official follow-up event of the Summit, which, together with prime ministers of the Western Balkans, brought together leaders of 28 EU countries in Sofia.

The aim of this gathering is to enable dialogue and exchange of ideas between the heads of the Western Balkan countries and high representatives of regional and international business, in order to achieve pragmatic solutions for strengthening cooperation and economy of the region. EU leaders, in consultation with partners from the Western Balkans, adopted yesterday the 17-point Declaration in Sofia, whereby they reiterated unambiguous support to the European perspective of the region and outlined the tasks and principles that the parties should meet in the process of European integrations.
