Istanbul Kültür University invites University of Mediterranean Podgorica students to Experience Studying in Istanbul in the Spring Semester of the Academic Year 2025-2026 through Erasmus Grants within the Erasmus+ KA171 Programme.
1. Application Requirements
- Being a full-time student enrolled in a program at the University of Mediterranean, pursuing an undergraduate degree
- For Bachelor students, having a minimum 2.50 Grade Point Average out of 4.00
- The minimum foreign language proficiency level is B2 (Intermediate). *
- Having at least 30 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) or equivalent study load per semester (Students who have not fulfilled the requirements for graduation yet).
- Period of the mobility: All the study mobilities are obligated to be realized in the Fall Term or Spring term of the 2025-2026 Academic Year from 15 September 2025.
* Students can count the results of the English exam they have taken before, or the results of the foreign language exam (TOEFL IBT, Pearson).
How to Apply?
To be accepted as an exchange student at IKU, University of Mediterranean students are required to complete and provide us with the following documents in English:
- The online application is free of charge. For filling in the application use only the link we have provided to University of Mediterranean.
- Transcript of Records (It must be issued in English and confirmed by the relevant person at your home University)
- National ID and/or Passport;
- Language Certificate (If you do not have an international certificate, ask your university to confirm your level of English.)

- Europass CV*
2. Grant Payments information
IKU will be responsible for signing the grant agreement with the participant (incoming student) and thereafter transferring grants to the selected students.
- Nominated students will receive a grant of EUR 800 per month for 5 months during the period of study mobility (total amount is 4000 Euros).
- Travel support (round-trip ticket) is also provided for students. The amount of the travel grant must be calculated using the "Distance Calculator". The distance calculator is accessible from the following link:
- Erasmus+ exchange students who will come to our university must fill out the grant agreement before coming to study at IKU. Students who do not have a grant contract are not paid a grant. 70% of the student’s total grant payment is transferred to the Euro account after the student arrives at our university.
In order for Erasmus exchange students to receive their remaining grants (30%), they must have passed at least 2/3 of the courses stated in their learning agreements.
3. Announcement of Results
As a result of the evaluation, all applicants are ranked according to the Erasmus + General Achievement Grade, and the International Office announcements are published on the partner University website (the list of students who are eligible to become Erasmus exchange students).
