A representative of “Mediterranean” University Podgorica participated in training on academic integrity in Paris

Asst. Dr. Žana Knežević was one of seven participants from Montenegro who took part in the two-day training of trainers for the implementation of ethical standards in higher education in Montenegro. During the two-day training, organized at the Council of Europe office in Paris, on March 27 and 28, the participants developed skills in the areas of adult education methodology, communication and management of challenging discussions, with special attention to adapting ethical standards to the context of Montenegro. The training was led by prof. Dr. Michel Bergada, emeritus of the University of Geneva, with guest lecturers Muriel Poisson and Jacques Alac, prominent experts in the field of educational policy and academic integrity.

The second part of the training will take place in June in Podgorica, after which the participants will become part of the network of trainers available for engagement by the national Ethics Committee.

This training is implemented within the Council of Europe project “Quality education for all – Montenegro”, with the aim of strengthening the capacity of educators to conduct training on academic integrity. The project is implemented within the framework of the joint program of the European Union and the Council of Europe “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey”.
