Mediterranean University Podgorica was founded on May 30, 2006 in Podgorica, as the first private university in Montenegro. During the past decade of work, we have grown into an eminent higher education institution that realizes its teaching and scientific activities through nine study programs in undergraduate studies, ten study programs in specialist studies, eleven in master's programs and two study programs in doctoral studies. The University is an accredited and licensed institution consisting of six faculties:

  • Faculty of Tourism “Montenegro Tourism School”
  • Faculty of Economics and Business
  • Faculty of Information Technology
  • Faculty of Visual Arts
  • Faculty of Foreign Languages
  • Faculty of Law

The University is clearly and thoughtfully committed to systematically and organizedly improving the quality of studies in order to be modern, flexible, comparable, competitive and efficient. In that sense, and in accordance with the Bologna process, we continuously work on raising the quality level of all university activities: teaching, study programs, grading system based on the introduction of the European credit accumulation and transfer system - ECTS, textbooks and literature, classroom and other space, information system, scientific research activities, publishing activities, selection of teaching and administrative staff, library activities, continuing education and other standards.

All study programs are accredited and licensed in accordance with the positive regulations of Montenegro. The university received a license to operate on August 31, 2006, and since then twice (in 2008 and 2013) it has been very successful in the process of re-accreditation of the institution and study programs in accordance with national regulations.

In 2014 and 2018, our institution also successfully passed the process of external institutional evaluation (IEP) conducted by the European University Association (EUA).
