“Be Informed Not Manipulated” Media Literacy Workshop
The program aims:
- to raise the media literacy levels among youth
- to give young people the functional knowledge to be aware and responsible citizens
- to make young people active in their schools, homes, communities
- to help them develop critical thinking, choose and use media
- to help them be safe and responsible users of media in the age of new technologies as well as the creators of new media contents.
- To train the participants to become presenters of media literacy-based materials for their peers and younger audiences.
This experience will provide a unique opportunity for collaboration among participants across Montenegro and encouraging young leaders to deepen their understanding of the importance of media literacy in a fast-moving, digital media landscape. The workshop will include interactive lectures, media workshops, case studies, panel discussions and social and cultural programs as well as group projects and presentations.
Eligibility criteria:
- Montenegrin high school and university students, 18-22 years old
- interested in learning about media literacy
- Can communicate in English
- Strong leadership potential
- Socially active in their home communities

Deadline for submission of applications is Friday, April 12 ,2019 5pm. Participants will be informed about the results no later than Tuesday, April 16, 2019.
Travel, accommodation and lodging will be provided by the organizer.
