Applications for the Tourist guide course
The applications will be held from the 11th to the 22nd of March 2019.
In the following paragraph you will find some basic information on the course.
The program of the training will be done in accordance with the Tourist guide training program.
Conditions for applying for the program:
- 4th degree high school diploma at the least;
- Active knowledge of one foreign language;
Desired educational requirements:
- 4th degree of a high school specialized in tourism;
- 4th degree of a high school specialized in economy;
- Gymnasium diploma;
- Computer skills;
General traits:
- Being mentally and physically capable;
- Desired traits:
- Communicability;
- Teamwork capability;
- Responsibility;
The training costs 700 euros – with the possibility of paying in three instalments:
- 1st instalment of 300 euros at the start of the course,
- 2nd instalment of 200 euros during the 2nd month of the course,
- 3rd instalment of 200 euros before the course ends.
650 euros – if paid in two instalments
- 1st instalment of 325 euros at the start of the course,
- 2nd instalment of 325 euros before the course is over.
600 euros if paid at once (the price includes: training, literature, testing, and the certificate)
Students of Mediterranean University only have to pay 500 euros:
- 1st instalment of 200 euros when the course starts,
- 2nd istalment of 150 euros during the 2nd month of the course,
- 3rd instalment of 150 euros before the course is over.
The training lasts for three and a half months (classes are every day from 4PM to 9 PM, and on Saturday mornings).
Classes are held by teachers licenced by the Ministry of Education.
The exam will be held after the training period is over
In accordance with the aforementioned Program, the training will be held in 17 subjects, in accordance with the Knowledge Catalog for the area in question.
Before the training starts, there will be a test on the applicants’ ability to work as tourist guides.
If the candidate does not have a B2 level foreign language certificate, they will take a test that will determine their foreign language proficiency.
