Prof. mr Katarina Švabić and the art project ”77 million paintings” by Brian Eno
In the audio-visual art project “77 million paintings”, Radovanović and Švabić will take part within the invitation of the British Council in Sarajevo as a representative of the art scene of Montenegro, along with recognizable artistic names from the Western Balkans. Two artists will participate from each country (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia), as special guests of the British artist. This project is an initiative of the British Council at the regional level with the aim of linking and building cultural cooperation in the Western Balkans.
In the early seventies, musician, producer, visual artist, thinker and activist Brian Eno became the founder of Roxy Musica, followed by a series of influential solo albums. His visionary production includes albums with famous Talking Heads, Devo, Laurie Anderson, U2 and Coldplay, while his long list of collaborations includes recordings with musicians such as David Bowie, Grace Jones, James Blake and many others. His visual experimental exhibitions are known all over the world. He is the author of the entire video and audio content of the installation, which is called “77 million paintings”, which will be presented at the Sarajevo Museum. Originally imagined in 2006, the project “77 million paintings” is accompanied by changing ambient sounds in low light conditions, creating an impressive and meditative experience.
