Poland – ‘Stefan Banach’ Scholarship program

The program’s goal is to support socio-economic growth of developing countries by raising the knowledge level and educating citizens of counties of the Eastern partnership, Central Asia, and Western Balkans. It is a joint initiative of the Polish Foreign Ministry and the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), which is executed within Poland’s Development help program. The program’s patron is Stefan Banach, famous Polish mathematician, cofounder of the mathematics school in Ljov and the mathematics section – functional analysis.

The program is offering the possibility of Master’s studies in the areas of engineering, tech, agriculture, and natural sciences at state universities, with full scholarships, including a monthly NAWA allowance to cover the costs of living within the legally designated time period of life in Poland.

The program’s offer is intended for students from countries marked as priorities by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Belarus, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgysztan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, as well as the countries in Western Balkans: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, and Serbia.

All future scholarship users, as well as other students at Montenegrin universities, who will stay in Poland through student exchange programs, have a chance to take a free course of Polish language organized by the Polish Embassy in Podgorica. The course starts on March 15th, at 17:00h, and will be held each Friday, from 17:00h to 19:00h, at the Education and upbringing center ‘Don Bosko’ , which is part of the Church of The Holy Heart of Jesus in Konik. The course will last until June this year, and classes will be held by lectors that have been teaching Polish for years, Vanda Vujisic and Marta Borovjec Jokic.
