Prof. dr. Ivo Županović held a seminar at the Chamber of Commerce

Prof. Ivo Županović, Ph.D., professor at the Master’s studies at the Faculty of Economics and Business, held a seminar at the Chamber of Commerce entitled “Controlling as a precursor to internal control and internal audit – where does controlling end and control mechanisms begin?”

In his presentation, Županović explained the basic purpose of controlling, emphasizing its role in assisting management when making strategic and operational decisions with the aim of increasing liquidity and profitability, and creating additional economic value. On the contrary, he states, internal audit focuses on risk prevention, risk management, prevention of abuses and improving the effectiveness of the internal control system.
