Strengthening of cooperation between “Mediterranean” University Podgorica and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Montenegro
On Tuesday, January 23, a meeting was held between prof. Sava Marković PhD, rector of the University “Mediterranean” Podgorica, with H.E. Fan Kun, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Montenegro. The meeting was organized in the premises of the Chinese Embassy in Podgorica, and in addition to Rector Marković, the meeting was also attended by Nataša Kraljević, M.Sc., head of the Department for International Cooperation of the University “Mediterranean” Podgorica.
The meeting served to introduce professor Marković and H.E. Fan Kun, but also to strengthen the previously established cooperation between University “Mediterranean” and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Montenegro. During the meeting, they talked about strengthening direct ties with universities in China, enabling the exchange of students and professors and organizing a series of guest lectures, as well as the assistance that the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Montenegro can offer in that process. Focusing on sectors such as the digital economy, tourism, infrastructure and renewable energy sources, H.E. Fan Kun shared with Professor Marković the latest Chinese achievements in the mentioned fields, citing the importance of familiarizing the students of University “Mediterranean” Podgorica with the opportunities offered by the modern Chinese economy, which can help the economic and overall development of Montenegro.
