The Faculty of Visual Arts and the “Mediterranean” University Podgorica are part of the CIM Forum event in Kotor
For the third year in a row, the CIM Forum of Creative Industries and Media, at the beginning of June, gathers in Kotor, a large number of the most prominent names from the media, creative and artistic industry of Montenegro and the region. This year, from June 6 to 9, the CIM Forum hosted many famous names, and our university was a significant participant in the event.
The head of the office for international cooperation and lecturer at the Faculty of Visual Arts, Nataša Kraljević, M.Sc., participated in the panel “Transformation of the Balkans: EU funds and the Western Balkans”, which was held on June 8 at the Boka Cinema in Stari Grad, and her interlocutors were colleagues from the region , Milan Vračar, president of Kulturanov from Novi Sad and Krešimir Budiša, co-founder and director of the company UHY HB Ekonom from Split, while the panel was moderated by Dušan Kaličanin, director of the Production Sector of the “Novi Sad 2022 – European Capital of Culture” Foundation. Exchanging experiences and comparing the situation in the culture, media and creative industries sectors in Montenegro, Serbia and Croatia, the panel participants commented on the opportunities provided by EU funds in the countries of the region, as well as the results that have been achieved so far.
As part of the CIM Forum, the student exhibition “One Youth of a Time” was shown, created as a result of the teaching process in 2022-23. It was possible to see the exhibition during the manifestation, in the Creative Hub (former prison) in the Old Town, in Kotor. In addition to the above, 3rd year students of the Faculty of Visual Arts, Jovana Nikčević, Milica Burić and Jelena Radović, participated as volunteers in the mentioned three-day event.
University “Mediterranean” Podgorica is actively working to strengthen cooperation with businesses, companies, but also NVOrganizations, festivals and events, which through their activities enable the acquisition of better knowledge and conditions for education and training of students. Professors of the Faculty of Visual Arts, Marija Džoganović, MSc, and Nikola Latković, MSc, participated and attended the opening and installation of the exhibition, as well as the CIM Forum event.
