The Faculty of Visual Arts of the “Mediterranean” University Podgorica at the “Bjelopolje Art Spring” art salon
The Jubilee 30th Art Salon “Bjelopolje Art Spring” was opened in the gallery of the Bjelopolje Center for Culture, with an appropriate cultural and artistic program. This year, 22 authors gathered 22 artists who exhibited 38 paintings and works in different techniques. This year’s three-member jury, in addition to the painter and caricaturist Luka Lagator, consisted of two representatives of the academic community of the Faculty of Visual Arts, Prof. Marija Džoganović, MA, painter and dean of FVU, and art historian Petar Ćuković. The jury decided to award the first prize to Tijana Gordić for the work ” Spring”, the second prize went to Dražen Konatar, while the third prize went to Lana Španjević for the picture “All Sees” and a special award was given to Ivana Smolović.
Explaining the jury’s decision, his colleague Petar Ćuković said that this year’s manifestation presented good works of artists and told the people of Bjelopolje that they should be proud of the long tradition of fine arts.
It should also be added that of the four awarded this year, two were students of our faculty.
The event was accompanied by the Ceremonial Academy, and the City Choir enhanced the event with its performance.
We congratulate the awardees and look forward to it!
