University “Mediterranean” Podgorica hosted representatives of American and Montenegrin institutions
At the University “Mediterranean” Podgorica, a meeting was held today with representatives of the Embassy of the United States of America in Montenegro, the National Guard of the Federal State of Maine, the General Staff of the Army of Montenegro, the Ministry of Public Administration and the Cyber Security Agency of Montenegro, dedicated to the improvement of cooperation in the field of education, international cooperation and cyber security. The meeting is part of an initiative aimed at strengthening institutional and academic cooperation between Montenegro and the federal state of Maine.
Rector prof. dr. Savo Marković welcomed the guests to the University, emphasizing the importance of connecting the academic community with domestic institutions and international partners, as well as the exchange of knowledge and experience in areas of common interest.
In the continuation of the meeting, Assoc. Dr. Tamara Jovović, dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, presented the University, its faculty units, study programs and academic capacities.
Ana Nenezić, in front of the Office for International Cooperation, presented the University’s activities in the field of international cooperation, international projects and past experiences in connecting with partner institutions.
Prof. dr. Marija Janković, dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business and vice-rector for international cooperation of the University “Mediterranean”, presented the current project in the field of cyber security, as well as the possibilities of further development of institutional and academic cooperation. Special emphasis is placed on the exchange of students, teaching staff and experts, joint programs of education, training and professional development, as well as on the possibility of developing joint research, professional and practical projects.
Prof. dr. Maja Delibašić, dean of the Faculty of Information Technologies, presented the University’s current programs and activities within the Horizon Europe program, pointing out the possibilities of connecting and developing new project initiatives.
During the meeting, concrete possibilities of strengthening international cooperation and connection of “Mediterranean” University with the institutions of Montenegro and partners from the United States of America were discussed, with a special focus on education, cyber security, exchange of knowledge and development of professional capacities. The talks opened up space for further linking of institutions and the development of joint initiatives and projects in the coming period.
