International conference on cultural policies held in Podgorica
The international conference “Cultural Policy. Development. Processes” was organized by the University “Mediterranean” Podgorica and the Compendium of Cultural Policies and Trends with the support of institutions, Museums and Galleries of Podgorica, the Secretariat for Culture – Capital Podgorica and the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro, held in the premises of the Museum and Gallery and the Kuslev house, on September 26 and 27, gathered a large number of cultural workers, professors and researchers from more than 50 countries in order to exchange ideas and experiences on key issues of contemporary culture, its organization and protection.
The conference discussed the general state of the cultural sector in Europe, as well as individual examples from Germany, Ireland, Great Britain, Estonia, Bulgaria, Sweden, Montenegro and other countries.
The conference was opened by the Minister of Culture and Media Dr. Tamara Vujović, Deputy Mayor Luka Rakčević, Director of the Museum Ivana Ćupić and Culture Secretary of the Capital City Snežana Tomanović. On behalf of the “Mediterranean” University Podgorica, the head of the Office for International Cooperation and lecturer Nataša Kraljević, expert of the Compendium team, who participated in the two-day sessions, together with Prince Nikola Petrović Njegoš, and visual artist Natalija Vujošević, curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Montenegro, addressed the gathering. . The moderators of the sessions were Mrs. Aleksandra Božović, director of the Film Center of Montenegro, and Ana Medigović from the City Theater.
Professor Nikola Latković was in charge of the visual identity of the entire event, and the photographs were taken outside. Professor Balša Gobović and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Visual Arts, Mediterranean University Podgorica.
The production team consists of Jelena Božović, Ana Janković, Ivana Đurašković and Ana Lazarević.
Guests from abroad had the opportunity to get acquainted with the folk dance of our country with a twenty-minute performance by the cultural and artistic society “Crna Gora” accompanied by fiddler Maksim Vojvodić.
