Participation of University Mediterranean professors at the International Internal Audit Conference

President of the Institute of Internal Auditors of Montenegro and professor at the Mediterranean University Podgorica, prof. Slavko Rakočević, Ph.D., participated in the International Internal Audit Conference, which took place in Struga, North Macedonia, from September 16 to 17, 2024.

The conference was organized by the Institute of Internal Auditors of North Macedonia in cooperation with the Institute of Internal Auditors of Montenegro, and gathered over 250 participants from different countries.

Prof. Slavko Rakočević, Ph.D., participated in a panel discussion dedicated to ethics in the auditing profession and on that occasion presented on the topic of the “Code of Ethics in accordance with the new Internal Audit Standards” that will come into force in January 2025.

His presentation highlighted the importance of ethical norms and principles in the audit profession, with special reference to adaptation to new standards that will improve the work of internal audit in a global environment.

The University continues to encourage and support the active participation of its professors and students at international conferences and professional gatherings, thereby contributing to the improvement of the quality of education and professional development in Montenegro.
