Working visit to the University of Patras in Greece
On the occasion of the coordination meeting of the IoT-ECO project, organized at the University of Patras, a team of three professors: prof. dr. Maja Delibašić, Assoc. dr. Žana Knežević and Prof. dr. Adis Balota and five students from the Faculty of Information Technologies of the University “Mediterranean” Podgorica, stayed from June 12 to 16 in Patra, Greece and participated in the workshops of Work Package 4, a project related to the development of IoT-ECO hubs. Partners from Greece, Austria and Bulgaria held a three-day workshop for students from Montenegro, Albania and Kosovo, transferring their knowledge and experience about IoT technology and digital twins.
Representatives of all partner institutions presented reports on activities within the IoT-ECO project, and new courses were presented, as well as planned campus models, which will be part of the planned IoT-ECO hub.
Among other things, the hosts made it possible to visit the Gefyra S.A. exhibition center, providing fascinating information about the Rion – Antirion bridge, the longest cable-stayed bridge in the world, whose construction, supervision and maintenance represent an exceptional example of innovation and engineering excellence.
From representatives of successful Greek companies, which cooperate with the University of Patras, the participants had the opportunity to hear successful examples of the implementation of IoT solutions in medicine, energy, construction and other areas.
The IOT-ECO project is one of the six Erasmus projects that the University “Mediterranean” Podgorica is implementing from 2023 and one of five within the CBHE call for Erasmus.
